BAPTISM, FUNERALS AND WEDDINGS

St Barnabas is part of the Church of England and therefore we can offer services of Baptism, Funerals and Weddings to our local community. Find out more below.

BAPTISM

WALK WITH US IN 4 STEPS

  • Once we've heard from you, we'll try and give you a ring to find out some details from you like names, address, age of children, so that we can prepare personally for you.

  • Let us know which Sunday you can come to. and we'll make sure someone looks out for you and introduces themselves. This way you can see what our services are like and get to know the community.

  • It's great to be able to talk with you about the service. We'll find a time to talk over a tea or coffee to go over making the service personalised to you, see which groups at church might be of interest or support to you, and find a date that works for the service.

  • This will be the day of the baptism. Your child will receive a certificate and an age-appropriate Bible. Thanksgiving Sundays usually take place on a 1st or 3rd Sunday of the month but you can discuss this when you speak to one of the team.

FUNERALS

From the moment you are in touch with us, throughout the funeral service, and for as long as you need us afterwards, we're here for you. Contact the church to discuss any funeral inquiries.

You may find some useful information on the Church of England website about funerals. https://www.churchofengland.org/life-events/funerals

WEDDINGS

Congratulations on your engagement! An exciting and happy time lies ahead and there will be so much to think about. If you’re wondering how to make a start on all the planning and preparations for the service, get in touch with the team and we’d love to chat about what you might have in mind.
